World Peace – Its Time Has Finally Come

World Beyond War

Most of us are ready to move to a world beyond war…

[President] Eisenhower said, “I’d like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.” [1959]

Now there is an idea whose time has finally come.

Please take a moment to go to World Beyond War and sign your name, as an individual or an organization, to this Declaration of Peace:

I understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. I commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.
