Elected Representatives WANT Us to Free Them From Fund-Raising

Honest Politician Reveals The Worst Part of The Job – ‘We Hate It’

Most elected representatives hate begging for money. It is degrading, wastes valuable time, and can only lead to the obligation of return favors.

They tell people when they get elected to Congress (it’s in the orientation), ‘Expect to spend four hours a day, at least, fund-raising.’ Four hours a day on the phone raising money.

Now, some of those people went to Washington because they were idealistic and wanted to do something for America. Instead they have to call rich people all day and beg for money, which is not only degrading, but if you talk to only rich people all day, pretty soon your world view is the world view of rich people and not of the ordinary people who are struggling to survive in this country.
