It’s Standardized Testing Time in Schools Across the Country

As students approach the end of the school year, it’s time for the final round of standardized testing. The tests are used to measure the effectiveness of teachers and schools, in addition to assessing what students have learned.

Increasingly, teachers, students, and parents are protesting the entire standardized testing system. The questions are these:

  • Do the tests accurately measure learning?
  • How much time does prepping for standardized tests take away from regular classroom teaching?
