How Did FDR Transform the United States?

What did Franklin Delano Roosevelt talk about to the American people? What were the political and economic issues? Why were The People loyal to him? How did FDR’s ideas actually manifest?

Let’s go back to 1936. Franklin Delano Roosevelt is giving an acceptance speech for the presidential nomination (for his second term.) He has something against ‘economic royalists.’

The American Dream, already conceived, is about to be born.

Private enterprise, indeed, became too private. It became privileged enterprise, not free enterprise. [Audience cheers] ~ President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
