The President Delivers a Statement on the Shooting in Oregon

Somebody, somewhere, will say Obama politicized this issue. Well, this is something we should politicize. It is relevant to our common life together, to our body politic… I’d ask the American people to think about how they can get our government to change these [gun control] laws, and to save lives, and let young people grow up. 1. I feel that it’s going to be like that. A year is better than nothing. He’s so eloquent when he speaks from the heart.
