Crowd Scientists Say Women’s March in Washington Had 3 Times More People Than Trump’s Inauguration | The New York Times

Everywhere you go, people are talking about yesterday’s Women’s March on D.C. Is there three times more talk about Marching Women than the Presidential Inauguration? No one knows. But crowd scientists have established that three times the number of people attended the Women’s March than attended the President’s Inauguration the day before.

The NYT article linked below explains the methodologies that crowd scientists use, and includes validating photos and charts.

Crowd Scientists Say Women’s March in Washington Had 3 Times More People Than Trump’s Inauguration | The New York Times

“The women’s march in Washington was roughly three times the size of the audience at President Trump’s inauguration, crowd counting experts said Saturday… ~ Tim Wallace and Alicia Parlapiano

While we’re on the topic of crowd size, were the Obama/Trump Inauguration photos “doctored?” According to the evidence provided in this NYT article, no. Both of the famous photos were taken 45 minutes before the 2009 Obama and 2017 Trump inauguration speeches began.

I suspect that Herr Trump and his fascist supporters couldn’t care less.

You are most likely right, Robert. But isn’t that a foolish mistake on his part? There will be a backlash, no?

I doubt reactionary ideologues (i.e., fascists and other authoritarians) have the forethought necessary for such contemplation. Many Germans knew the disasters Hitler would cause, but it didn’t matter; it happened regardless.

All the peaceful protests and demonstrations are thrilling! Do you think the women may also forge a strong anti-war movement?

  4. Carl D'Agostino

He calls his new alignment of people that supported him a movement. True but he has no idea of the intensity and magnitude of this women’s movement.

I know! Women’s Marches took place all over the world – including Antarctic. And with a motto like “Women’s Rights are Human Rights,” they represent, well… all humans.
