Want to follow scientific updates as they’re published by U.S. government agencies? That might be a problem, as the new President has informed said agencies to button their lips.
Fortunately for us, the brainy types are not overly compliant. You may now follow the science news from rogue (unofficial) government agency accounts on Twitter. Among the scientific facts and data, don’t be surprised by blips of humor and some rogue editorializing as scientists stand up for public dissemination of scientific facts and news.
For your convenience, the rogue Twitter accounts are listed here. Even if you’re not a science buff, you might choose to follow each and every account–based upon your fondness for democracy.

The newly inaugurated President Trump, and many of his Cabinet picks, have repeatedly cast doubt upon the reality of human-made climate change, questioned the repeatedly proven safety of vaccines. Since the inauguration, the administration has already frozen grants and contracts by the Environmental Protection Agency and gagged researchers at the US Department of Agriculture.
