Nevada 36th State to Ratify Equal Rights Amendment |

The National Organization for Women (NOW) just announced that Nevada is the 36th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment so that it clearly “includes equitable access to all aspects of reproductive health care and centers marginalized people, including LGBTQIA individuals, immigrants, women of color, and women with disabilities.”

Way to go! 36 states down, two more to go, to fine-tune the U.S. Constitution…

ERA Yes! |

“The Nevada Assembly’s vote to make Nevada the 36th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment is a ringing declaration of support for the explicit guarantee of constitutional rights for women. The failure of the framers to include women in our nation’s founding documents is a constitutional failure that has long demanded correction. That’s why the National Organization for Women has made it an essential part of our mission since 1976 to ratify the ERA…” ~ Terry O’Neill

But WHY has it taken so long, and WHY are there still 14 states that have not ratified it? This isn’t rocket science … it is Humanity 101!!!
