  • Corbyn’s plan for world order sounds sane compared to the naive and pro-Russia Trump foreign agenda. This election could be an important sign that Trump world will inevitably end in failure or even better in impeachment .

  • We’re following the UK election very closely here in New Zealand. The electoral system in the UK is very much rigged in favor of the Tories – which means he will have to turn out his millenial supporters massive numbers in a number of key electorates. It won’t help that the Liberal Democrats are standing on a platform of legalizing medical marijuana. In order to win, he’s going to need to adopt this policy as well – plus a platform that advocates sovereign money (restoring the ability of banks to create money). Otherwise he’s in the impossible position of needing to borrow more money (and creating more debt) to fulfill all his spending promises. With sovereign money, his government could simply create money and spend it into the economy. It’s like quantitative easing, only you use the government created money to pay for public programs instead of bailing out banks.
