Republican Baseball Shooter Was a Sanders Volunteer During 2016 Campaign - Progressive Politics
Written by JoAnn Chateau

The shooter who shot Rep. Steve Scalise and other Republicans at their baseball practice today, had been a Sanders volunteer during the Democrat Primary. Upon learning of the shooter’s political affiliation, Sanders took a few moments on the Senate Floor to condemn the shooting.

Scalise is said to be in critical condition. The shooter is known to have had a violent history.

“I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms.” ~ Bernie Sanders

There are untreated, seriously mentally ill people in every walk of life. Yet, because of a minor association between the shooter and the Sanders campaign, a political attack may be aimed at Bernie and the progressive revolution he has fostered. Should that happen, follow Bernie’s lead. Affirm that violence must never be part of the American political dialogue.

May Rep. Scalise, staffers, and police officers experience quick and complete recoveries.
