During the Great Depression of the 1930s, regular Americans suffered extreme tough times. Fortunately, we had a President who took bold action to restore the economy — by creating government work programs, unemployment insurance, and Social Security.
But Franklin Delano Roosevelt wouldn’t have been able to succeed without the courage to oppose his rich friends. When they threatened to leave the country if he increased taxes on the wealthy class, FDR responded wryly, “I will miss them very much.”

Impeach trump. 😀
Bless FDR! He certainly modelled the best in what the world should expect in the Leader of the Free World.
Thanks, John. I agree. 🙂
Obama did well too considering her had his hands tied by Republican majorities in both houses. Trump can’t get much done with GOP majorities – a loser.
You make the illuminating contrast!
It seems that those at the top of our human pyramid are hardwired to self-destruct. For how can a pyramid withstand erosion over time without a strong and large base?
You are logical, objective. Those at the top aren’t, or don’t care to be — they’d rather think they are there by some merit or by God’s will (a fantasy world, where they contribute not at all to poverty and to the destruction of the earth.)
Teddy was also tough on his rich friends!
Yes!
Some presidents are presidential. This one is anything but:(
You nailed it. I see how upset Parliament is with Trump’s hate tweets. Hope they cancel his visit.
