Animal lovers, do you still crave the taste and texture of butter on your food? It’s OK. Petra at Nutrition Refined shows us how to make vegan butter.
The main ingredient is almond flour, which makes me happy, as there remains a bag of almond flour in the cupboard that I barely know what to do with. (The last almond flour recipe I tried was a dud. :-( Live and learn.)
Perhaps I’m a bit nervous about this recipe, and I don’t know when I’ll get around to making it. So please let me know how it works for you, if you try it. Surely, nothing can go wrong — think of the protein that almond flour adds!
This vegan butter is not only a great store-bought alternative, but it’s also free of palm oil, emulsifiers, and preservatives. It’s smooth, creamy, rich, and spreads and melts just like regular butter. While it’s not real butter, it’s pretty close. I love to spread it on a piece of bread, add it to mashed potatoes, or bake with it.
