DATE: January 19, 2019
LOCATION: Washington, D.C.
WEBSITE: Women’s March 2019
ORGANIZER: Women’s March National
The first Women’s March was in 2017. It arose spontaneously from a shocked and pained grassroots response to Donald Trump’s assumption of the U.S. presidency. American Women marched to express outrage and disgust at Trump’s racist and misogynist propaganda; to resist a Trump Administration; and to protect the rights of vulnerable people. All around the world, women and men joined the demonstration.

It’s time to march again. “The 2019 Women’s March marks two years of resistance to the Trump presidency, two years of training new activists, and two years of building power… The #WomensWave is coming, and we’re sweeping the world forward with us.”
Women’s March National explains their overall mission:
The mission of Women’s March is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change. Women’s March is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a diverse range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage in their local communities through trainings, outreach programs and events.
